IASystem 2.0 Release Notes
Welcome to IASystem™ 2.0!
For many months our team has been hard at work adding the ability to customize our proven evaluation instruments without compromising the integrity of rigorous data collection and reporting.
Customizing online forms provides the opportunity to modify an IASystem™ evaluation form by removing or adding question from the IASystem™ item bank or creating your own custom questions. Custom forms can be saved for use by the entire campus or specific subsets of the college or university, such as a department.
In order to maintain key reporting data, critical sections of IASystem™ forms that provide data to support cross-campus global ratings, optional statistical adjustments, and the Challenge and Engagement Index cannot be altered. However, formative, demographic and open-ended questions may be fully managed.
We thank our colleagues who participated in the beta testing of the new custom form feature. The valuable feedback, suggestions and input we receive from our fellow institutions helps the IASystem™ team as we continuously improve and develop the IASystem™ course evaluation system.
Please review the IASystem™ User Guides & Resources. In addition to new custom forms documentation, all online and PDF documentation has been updated. User guides have been updated with clarifying information and additional screenshots. We encourage you to download the newest PDF versions of the user guides.
New Features & Modifications
- Added the ability to Manage Online Forms: With IASystem™2.0, institutions can create custom online evaluation forms for the entire campus or for a specific college or department. This feature is available to users with the role of “Administrator.” Administrators can provide this ability to other types of users by creating a custom role. Please review the new IASystem™ Custom Online Form Guide.
- Improved Communication with Instructors when Evaluations are Edited: When an administrative user updates an evaluation, the system will send the instructor updated information about their course evaluation. Please review instructor email notification schedule and content.
- Updated Evaluation Parameters Export to include Course Evaluation URLs: Institutions have requested the ability to download a file containing all their course evaluations details, including survey links, in order to populate that data in other systems. The parameters export has been updated to include survey links. Please review updated IASystem™ Export Specifications documentation.
- Updated Term Information in Data Exports: Rather than displaying an internal system numeric code, the export now provides an institution’s specific term name.
